Meeting time and place:
We will be meeting at 8:30 am – ready to ride - at Bear Creek Regional Park West in Colorado Springs.
Directions and parking:
From I-25, exit Highway 24/Cimarron and head west. At the second light, turn left (south) on 21st Street (Cresta). Travel south for a few miles, up and over a big hill. At the bottom of the hill where the road flattens out, you will turn right at another light, (west) on Argus Blvd. The entrance for Bear Creek Regional Park West will be your first drive on your right. Proceed into the parking area and drive north to the end of ALL parking areas, past the pavilions. The clinic will be in Field #2. If you have trouble locating us, call our mobile numbers at (719) 439-9041 (Alison) or (719) 439-9136 (Greg).

What we’re doing:
The morning session is all about learning the basic fundamentals of riding a mountain bike. We will talk about positioning, balance, cornering, braking, shifting, mounting and dismounting your bike; riding up and down curbs; climbing and descending; plus anything else we can come up with – or any requests you may have.
Where we’re riding:
We will be riding on the grass in Field #2 of Bear Creek Park West. We will spend the morning doing skills and drills on the grass.
Lunch:
We will enjoy a tasty lunch in the park, compliments of the Alison Dunlap Adventure Camps. This will also be a good time to dig into your sponsor swag bag. Sorry, I can’t reveal the contents, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised!
Afternoon:
After lunch we will take our new found skills and put them to use on the recently built single-track trails to the west of the park. We’ll review what we learned in the morning and apply the techniques to actual trail riding.
Conclusion of the clinic:
After answering any questions you might have and taking group photos we’ll send you on your way, loaded with a huge amount of new skills and information.
What to bring:
The weather in Colorado Springs can be a little unstable. Be prepared for sun or snow. We’ll ride in anything unless the trails are too muddy. Bring lots of layers with you in your car and we’ll see what the weather is doing when we get to the trailhead.
What we provide:
We're looking forward to having you join us! Feel free to contact us with questions: 719-439-9041 or send us an email
